"Hey Sandia! On behalf of Read to Me Albuquerque, Key Club is holding a children's book drive. Please donate new or gently used children's book to Ms. Pacheco's room at E-5. Thank you and every donation is appreciated."


"DECA is hosting Pennies for Patients this week in the commons at lunch through Friday. Donate any change you have for children with lymphoma, a cancer that attacks the lymph nodes and the affects the body's ability to fight disease" 


This Saturday, March 17th there will be a free ACT prep session from 10:00am-12:30 pm in the SHS new library provided by the “GreatIna Miller to offer important hints and tips about the exam. Go by the counseling office to sign up and pick up your booklet. Doors will shut at 10:00am sharp!


During, March, Athletic Trainers across America are being recognized for their commitment to helping Athletes prevent injuries and stay healthy and active in their sports.  Athletic Trainers are health care professionals who are highly educated and dedicated to their job.  They can be found not only in schools & professional sports, but also corporations, the military, performing arts, clinics and hospitals.  We would like to salute our Athletic Training/Sports Medicine Program here at Sandia HS and the students who work hard taking care of our athletes.  Thank you Athletic Training students!


Are you interested in being a part of the Senate and Student Council next year?  Are you interested in running for a class officer?  If so, stop by Activities Office.  Both applications are now available!




Students please be aware that you may have class, club, athletic, and or library fees that need to be paid.  The final date for seniors to pay these fees is Friday April the 13th.  Class fees may be paid in the book room with Ms. Lein and library fees may be paid in the Library with Mrs. Smith




Attention Seniors The SHS Alumni Scholarship is now available in the counseling office.  2 scholarships valued at $1000 non-renewable will be offered to 1 male & 1 female senior.



Attention Seniors if you plan on attending CNM for college next year please bring your acceptance letter to the counseling office.




Seniors… Please turn in the “grey photo cards” to Ms. Holmes in Activities as soon as possible.

Are you ready for the Clash of the Classes at the Spring Assembly on Monday the 19th? Freshmen and Sophomores please wear BLUE to rep the underclassmen… and Juniors and Seniors please wear RED to rep the upperclassmen!



Juniors and seniors! Are you ready to rock the red carpet at Prom 2018? Make sure your outfit is Awards Show ready! Prom will be April 7th from 8 to 11pm in the lower east atrium at the Albuquerque Convention Center! Tickets will go on sale on Monday, March 19th and will be sold only at lunch in the commons and will be $25. You must have your ID to purchase a ticket and to enter the dance. If you are bringing a guest from another school, you must have the guest form completed before you can buy a ticket.  Forms are available in Activities. Underclassmen: this is an upperclassmen event and you must be attending with a junior or a senior and they must buy your ticket. Can’t wait to see you there Matadors!
