Congratulations to our student-athletes of the week, Victoria Reyes and Hannah Boisvert.  Victoria hit a walk-off 2-run home run to beat La Cueva and help her team sweep the double header over the weekend.  Hannah won both of her matches vs. Eldorado, including a win against a nationally ranked Eldorado tennis player who had not lost in her high school career.  Her wins helped the girls tennis team win district!!  Congrats student-athletes!

Calling all poets. Do you like to write poetry? Do you want to enter a national poetry contest and try to win some money?

Well, April is Poetry Month & Sandia is offering two more poetry workshops in the library.

Bring your poems and meet in the library this Tuesday, April 17th and this Thursday, April 19th at lunch.

Mrs. Reeves, Mrs. Smith & Mr. Steele will be there to help you write, edit, & publish your poems.

See you then & Happy Poetry Month!

Fellowship of Christian Athletics meets on Wednesdays at lunch in room 107.  We are having a guest speaker next Wednesday, April 18, Marty Watts a former Sandia Football Alumni.  You are invited to join us next Wednesday for lunch.

Come hang out with us for the last run of open improv of the year!  If you haven't been out yet, come have some laughs, eat your lunch, and chill with us!  This is the last improv at lunch until next year. Don't miss out!

Seniors: We are setting up a “Grad Walk”  through the elementary schools. We will visit three feeder schools in caps and gowns to show the kids what its like to graduate from high school.  If you are interested AND committed, please sign up in Activities!

Friday night from 6-8pm in the New Library, the IB Seniors from the Visual Arts class will be having their senior art showcase. Come and join us to look at their artwork and support your exiting seniors. Refreshments will be served. See you there!

"Seniors, Graduation is almost here.  You will need an “All Clear” slip and ID from this year.  This is for EVERY Senior… if you have your own cap and gown OR if you will be picking up your cap and gown order on May 8th.  All Slips will be collected on May 8th in the Commons between 12:00 and 2:00 p.m.

You may begin to pick up your slip on April 24th from Ms. Lein in the bookroom ONLY.   You will need to get a signature or stamp from the cafeteria, library, book room and from Mr. Vopalka in counseling.

Again, All seniors need to have an All Clear slip completed.  Please keep in mind you will also HAVE to have your student ID from THIS year.  If you lose your “All Clear” slip, you will have to begin the process all over.  If you have any questions please see Ms. Lein in the book room."

Yearbooks are going fast! Reserve your copy now, at Jostens.com. There may not be copies left for on-campus sales, and you certainly don't want to wait in long lines for purchases. Reserving a copy makes getting your yearbook faster and easier during distribution. And always remember, you may not be able to buy happiness, BUT you can buy a yearbook, and that's the same thing! Talk to a yearbook staff member or Ms. Thomas in A4 if you have questions.

The Goatcher-Reid Scholarship is now available in the counseling office. Two senior students will be awarded $2000. See Mr. Vopalka for more details.
