Invitations to apply have gone out to juniors and seniors who have met the 3.5 cumulative GPA requirement for National Honor Society. Teachers are reminded to distribute those letters to the appropriate students. If you are a junior or senior whose cumulative GPA is 3.5 or above and who did not receive an invitation, see Ms. Goswick in 102.
Academic Awards invitations for junior and seniors with a weighted GPA of 3.5 or higher are currently being distributed through various classes. Please return your RSVP to the red box in the main office.
If you received an academic award invitation, please return it with your teacher nomination form by Friday, October 7th to the red ballot box in the main office.
Open Gyms for Girls Basketball will begin Monday, October 3rd. Open Gyms will take place every Monday and Wednesday in October and will be held in the main gym from 5:30 to 6:45 PM. Please bring a current physical. If you have any questions please see Coach Kettig in F 3 or the Girls Basketball office. See you there.
For those of you who aren't crazy about walking up to Yucca to purchase a Sandia S sticker for your vehicle, Ms. Chase will be available to sell them in her room, E-11, at the beginning of lunch or right after school on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Anyone interested in being on the wrestling team athlete or manager please come to the wrestling room after school on Wednesday Sept. 28th for interviews with Head Coach AJ Pacheco.

This is Wish Week. Don't forget to bring some extra money to make a donation for a snack or a star. The stars will be hung in the commons according to grade level. At the end of the week, which ever class has the most stars wins!
Voting for Freshman Class Officers will take place this Thursday and Friday. Only Freshman can vote in this election. Please log onto the Sandia website and follow the directions under the red tab: student elections. Candidate speeches will take place Wednesday on the announcements.
If anyone who attended the Homecoming dance wants a souvenir invitation, they are in a basket in Activities.
Bowling team will be having a team meeting this Sunday October 2nd at 12 noon at Silva Lanes anybody interested can come at that time thanks.
