Weekly Announcements


There will be NO after school tutoring in the library on Thursday due to a faculty meeting. The library will be closed after school on Thursday.

The Arena Snack Bar will be closed on TODAY January 18th due to DECA District Competition!  Good Luck DECA students!



Congratulations to our Sandia drama students for competing at The State Thespian Festival this weekend in Santa Fe.  The students had stellar performances in their respective areas with superior scores.

Cayla Lucas and Zoe Meizlesh scored superior in their duo acting performance.
Rose Meizlesh scored superior in contrasting monologues.
Zoe Meizlesh scored superior in contrasting monologues. 
Gabriel Armijo scored superior in contrasting monologues and made the performance showcase. 

Way to go Thespian troupe 879!  



ATTENTION Seniors!!!!    The last time you can order your senior shirt is this week on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in the commons. The cost is $20. Please have your ID.  




Come dance the night away at this years’ Winterball: “ A night in Neverland”   on February 18th.

Pre-sale tickets start at 10$! Ticket sales will start January 24th! This dance is open to all grade levels and we will have a Snow Court again.  Keep listening for details.

From Yearbook: 

Seniors! Senior Quotes for the yearbook are to be submitted electronically. Go to the Sandia website, and find instructions to submit your quote by clicking the link entitled "Yearbooks: Senior Quotes". Please follow instructions and include your full name in order to ensure your quotes submission to the yearbook. Deadline for quote submission is Feb 20th. 


Senior Yearbook Quotes can also be featured in the yearbooks as videos! Video quotes will be $5, but you can choose to have some special features added for $7. Video quotes must be done in the yearbook room A6, on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school, starting Thursday Jan. 19th and will continue until Feb. 16th. Posters will be displayed in the Commons this week with details. 




Senior Ads are also due by Feb 16th, please go to JostensAdService.com to design and purchase. 

If you haven't yet, order your yearbook on Jostens.com now! Deadline to personalize your yearbook is Feb 26th, so don't miss out! The 2016/2017 yearbook is sure to sell out, so don't wait!

Wrestling is looking for anyone ELIGIBLE to fill open varsity positions. If you are interested please come to the wrestling room Monday through Friday from 4:30 to 6:30 ASAP!! 


Attention boys track and field:

There will be an informational meeting today… Tuesday January 17th at 3 pm in the boys football locker room for anyone interested In Track and field.

Also all boys sprinters will be meeting at the track for workouts Tuesday and Thursday this week at 245. Contact coach Montgomery for details.



Please make sure to use RECYCLING bins for RECYCLING only and the trash cans for trash!


Students please do not park in the Staff/Teacher Lot.  Your car will be tagged and towed.
