The Sandia Spirit Coaches are committed to being positive role models and providing safety, organization, excellent training, communication, and performance/competition opportunities.
Ann Holmes - Dance Head Coach
Ann Holmes has been coaching drill team, dance, cheerleading, and gymnastics at all levels (high, middle, and elementary) for over 30 years. Her teams have won camp, city, regional, district, state, and national titles. Ms. Holmes participated in cheerleading and drill team at Sandia High School in the 1980's. She represented Sandia as New Mexico's Superstar Drill Teamer at the Aloha Bowl in Hawaii and Cotton Bowl parade in Texas in 1984. As an adult, she coached and cheered for the semi-pro Scorpion's Hockey team cheerleaders in Albuquerque, NM and performed with the Shapes' Aerobics team in Tampa, Florida. Ms. Holmes is delighted to be continuing to build the Sandia Drill & Dance Team and the Cheerleading Program. The past 15 years at Sandia have been extremely successful and she is looking forward to having outstanding teams well into the future.
Madi Calhoun - Dance Assistant Coach
Kerri Osborne - Varsity Cheer Head Coach
Kerri has been coaching at Sandia High School for the past 8+ years. She graduated from Sandia High School in 2005 and is very excited to be a part of the community she once attended. She danced and cheered in high school, winning state titles that she participated in and helped choreograph. She currently teaches Computer Graphics and IB Art at Sandia. She is looking forward to having great teams well into the future.
